نظّم مركز الملك عبدالعزيز للتواصل الحضاري، اليوم (الأربعاء)، ملتقى «جسور التواصل» بعنوان «الحج والعمرة نموذجاً للتعايش والتواصل الحضاري»، بمقر الجامعة، بحضور رئيس جامعة أم القرى الدكتور معدي آل مذهب، وعدد من المسؤولين والمختصين والمهتمين.
وأوضح الأمين العام للمركز الدكتور عبدالله الفوزان، في كلمته خلال افتتاح الملتقى، أن الملتقى يمثل فرصة لتبادل الخبرات والتجارب بين المؤسسات، واستعراض الممارسات الناجحة، وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون وبناء الشراكات، بما يسهم في تطوير العمل المؤسسي والمجتمعي، انطلاقاً من رسالة المركز في تعزيز التلاحم وبناء الجسور وتقريب وجهات النظر، معرباً عن تطلعه إلى أن تسهم أعمال الملتقى ونقاشاته في إطلاق مبادرات عملية وشراكات مثمرة تعزز التواصل والتقارب.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس جامعة أم القرى أن الملتقى يمثل مساحة نوعية للحوار وتبادل الخبرات وتعزيز التكامل بين الجهات ذات العلاقة، بما يسهم في تعزيز قيم الانتماء والولاء لدى الأفراد والمجتمع، ويعكس الطموح الوطني في بناء بيئات حضرية متكاملة ترتقي بجودة الحياة، وتحافظ على الهوية، وتستثمر الفنون والثقافة وعمق التاريخ في تحقيق التعايش وصناعة مستقبل طموح يرتكز على التاريخ والحضارة السعودية.
ويستعرض الملتقى خدمات المملكة في قطاع الحج والعمرة ودلالاتها الحضارية والثقافية، وما تعكسه من قيم حضارية تستحضرها الدولة في تقديم الخدمات لضيوف الرحمن خلال رحلتهم الدينية، منذ الوصول حتى المغادرة.
وعقب الافتتاح، عُقدت جلسات حوارية تناولت عدداً من المحاور، أبرزها التأصيل الديني والتربوي لقيم التعايش، والمشاعر المقدسة بوصفها منصة للتواصل الحضاري، ورسالة السلام والوسطية للعالم، إلى جانب جهود المملكة في إثراء التجربة الحضارية، وإبراز ما تمثله مواسم الحج والعمرة من نموذج إنساني للتواصل والتقارب بين الشعوب والثقافات.

The King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue organized today (Wednesday) the “Bridges of Communication” forum titled “Hajj and Umrah as a Model for Coexistence and Cultural Communication,” at the university’s premises, attended by the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Maadi Al-Mudhahab, along with several officials, specialists, and interested parties.
The Secretary-General of the center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Fawzan, explained in his speech during the opening of the forum that the event represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and practices between institutions, showcase successful practices, and open new horizons for cooperation and building partnerships, contributing to the development of institutional and community work, stemming from the center’s mission to enhance cohesion, build bridges, and bring perspectives closer together. He expressed his hope that the forum’s activities and discussions would contribute to launching practical initiatives and fruitful partnerships that enhance communication and rapprochement.
For his part, the President of Umm Al-Qura University emphasized that the forum represents a qualitative space for dialogue, exchanging experiences, and enhancing integration among relevant entities, contributing to strengthening the values of belonging and loyalty among individuals and the community. It reflects the national ambition to build integrated urban environments that elevate the quality of life, preserve identity, and invest in arts and culture, as well as the depth of history in achieving coexistence and creating an ambitious future based on Saudi history and civilization.
The forum will showcase the Kingdom’s services in the Hajj and Umrah sector and their cultural and civilizational implications, as well as the civilizational values that the state embodies in providing services to the guests of Allah during their religious journey, from arrival to departure.
Following the opening, discussion sessions were held addressing several topics, most notably the religious and educational foundations of coexistence values, the holy sites as a platform for cultural communication, and the message of peace and moderation to the world, in addition to the Kingdom’s efforts in enriching the civilizational experience and highlighting what the Hajj and Umrah seasons represent as a human model for communication and rapprochement between peoples and cultures.
